Latest Euro NCAP crash test results - Introduction

02 February 2007
Euro NCAP has released its latest crash test results, which includes the Chevrolet Captiva, Chrysler Voyager, Volkswagen Eos and Volvo C30.

The Volvo C30 is the only one of the four cars to achieve the top five-out-of-five star rating for occupant safety. The Volkswagen Eos and Chevrolet Captiva both earn four stars, but the Chrysler Voyager was awarded just one.

The MPV fares better in child occupant protection, gaining four of the available five stars. The Eos and C30 also got four stars in these trials, while the Captiva was given three.

Pedestrian protection results are unimpressive. The Captiva and Eos do best with two-out-of-four stars, while the Volvo C30 was awarded one and the Voyager none.
