Latest Euro NCAP results - Introduction

Small family cars, MPVs and an off-roader are the latest cars to be put through Euro NCAP crash test trials.

Three of the five cars tested scoop the top five-star rating for occupant protection, while the Audi Q7 and Mazda 3 netted four.

Along with the Citroen C4 Picasso, the Mazda was also one of two to score three-out-of-five star for child occupant protection. The rest of the cars scored four stars.

All of the five cars tested scored two out of a possible four stars for their ability to minimise injuries to pedestrians in a collision.
