A rearward-facing child restraint should not be used in the front passenger seat as the airbag for that seating position cannot be disabled. The label warning against the use of a child restraint in that position did not meet Euro NCAP's requirements.
The Q7 has a seatbelt reminder for the front seating positions. However, the signal was not loud and clear enough to meet Euro NCAP's requirements.
The bumper scored maximum points for the protection it offered to the lower legs of pedestrians. However, the leading edge of the bonnet scored no points.
