One of the ISOFIX anchorages broke during the side-impact test and the dummy's head was not properly contained within the restraint. Nissan has identified and corrected the manufacturing fault and is contacting owners of affected cars to replace the rear seat-frame.
In the frontal impact, the chest of the dummy 18-month-old was subjected to high loads.
The passenger airbag could be deactivated to allow rear-facing child seats to be used in the front passenger sea, but information regarding the status of the airbag was not sufficiently clear to meet Euro NCAP's requirements. The presence of ISOFIX anchorages in the rear seats was also not marked well enough.
The Note has a seatbelt reminder system for the front seats only, but it met with Euro NCAP's approval.
The leading edge of the bonnet scored no points for the protection it offered to the legs of pedestrians.
