Euro NCAP crash test results have been released for the Renault Zoe, Skoda Octavia, Toyota Auris and Toyota RAV4 – with all four receiving the maximum five-star rating.
The Skoda Octavia scored highly on both adult and child occupant safety. It also received Euro NCAP advanced rewards for Multi Collision Brake, Crew Protect Assist, Lane Assistant and Front Assistant.
Both the Toyota Auris and RAV4 scored highly for adult occupant safety and did well on child occupant safety. Neither car could accommodate a child seat in the centre seat in the rear.
The Renault Zoe performed well on occupant safety. It scored particularly highly in the safety assist category thanks to its seatbelt reminders for all seats, electronic stability control and a speed limit information system.
