Latest recalls: Alfa, Mazda and Volvo

Mazda Premacy and 6 models, as well as cars from Alfa Romeo and Volvo, are affected by recalls

Faulty airbags, fires and failing roof rails are the reasons behind three new safety recalls launched by car manufacturers.

The biggest of the three recalls affects 2265 Mazda Premacy, 6 and 6 estate models. Mazda has found that the airbag warning light could come on and deactivate the safety system. In some instances the airbag could deploy unintentionally.

Volvo wants to inspect 392 S60, V70, XC70 and XC90 cars because the cooling fan may malfunction and lead to a fire in the engine bay.

Finally, Alfa is contacting the owners of 81 159 models because aftermarket roof rails could vibrate and break the car's roof rail channels.
