Lexus adds new trim to RX 400h range

Lexus has added the RX 400h SR to its luxury 4x4 range.

The car, which costs from £37,500, features additional leather trim, an eight-way electrically adjustable driver's seat, heated front seats and metallic paint over the standard RX.

The Lexus Multimedia system is also available as an option, which has satellite-navigation, voice control of the audio system, Bluetooth connectivity, a six-disc CD player, 11 speakers and a park-assist monitor.

An additional in-car entertainment package will add headrest-mounted screens and infra-red headphones for rear-seat passengers.

The car is powered by a 3.3-litre V6 petrol engine linked to two electric motors, propelling the car from 0 to 62mph in 7.6sec.

The RX 400h SR returns 34.9mpg and emits 192g/km of carbon dioxide.
