The replacement for the Vauxhall Vectra could be launched at the London Motor Show in 2008.
It's thought that positive feedback from the unveiling of the Corsa at the British show in June has persuaded Vauxhall officials to launch the new car in London.
'It is not quite finalised, but you should expect the new mid-sized car to launch in Britain,' said one executive.
The Opel GTC concept car, pictured above, was shown at the Geneva Motor Show this week, and shows how the Vectra's replacement could look.
It won't carry the Vectra name, though - GM chief Carl-Peter Forster has already said that name will end when production of the current car finishes. Instead, Insignia is rumoured to be a possible contender for the new car.
