More than 400,000 people visited the British Motor Show last summer at its new venue at the Excel centre in London's Docklands.
In all 415,356 came to the show, of which 68% paid and 32% used complimentary tickets. On a like-for-like basis, attendance at London was 26% up on the 2004 event in Birmingham.
Whatcar.com's video diary room at the London event showed it was going down well with visitors. Organisers are already working to improve on the format for next year's event which will again be held at the Excel centre between July 23 and August 3.
