Which makers offer digital radio?

DAB stands for Digital Audio Broadcasting, which in layman's terms means digital radio.

As with digital TV, DAB opens up the possibility for many more stations than analogue (FM or AM).

The signal is also less prone to interference than FM, and if you live in a poor signal area you might get better reception with DAB.

On the following pages we've listed all the cars that come with DAB as standard, or ones you can pay a bit extra to have it fitted at the factory.

CITROEN
No Citroens can be factory fitted with DAB at present.

FIAT
Only the limited edition Grande Punto DUB gets DAB (car costs 8560).

FORD
No Fords are available with DAB at present, although it will be available as an option in the Focus, Kuga and C-Max from June (on Zetec models up).

Mondeo, S-Max and Galaxy (Zetec models up) can be fitted with DAB from September.

HONDA
No Hondas are currently available with DAB.

LAND ROVER
DAB is a 295 option on all Land Rover models (excluding S).

LEXUS
There are no DAB options at present, but it will be introduced in the next generation of cars.

MAZDA
No Mazdas are currently available with DAB.
