Maserati has released details of the GrantTurismo S, which it will unveil at the Geneva motor show next week.
Powered by a 4.7-litre V8, it has 434bhp – 0.4-litres and 35bhp more than the standard GranTurismo.
Gearchanges are also faster and smoother as a result of a semi-automatic gearbox that will be fitted as standard.
Uprated brakes help stop the car faster and reduce the risk of brake fade.
Exterior detailing includes a new alloy wheel design, red highlighting on the Maserati Trident badge and more deeply sculpted sills.
Inside, the cabin features a unique leather and Alcantara trim, and sports seats.
The car will go on sale in the UK this autumn, and will cost around £90,000.
