Kia Picanto review

When it comes to commuting, there are a couple of things I look for in a car. First of all, a manual model must have a clutch that's forgiving and not too stiff, and the Picanto has that covered. Secondly, it must have somewhere to connect my phone – something commonplace in most modern cars.

I’ve been particularly impressed at just how well the Picanto addresses the latter. I tend to use Spotify – the free music app – but a lot of cars don’t recognise this as a music source, even if the phone is plugged in. I have to admit, I wasn’t expecting much when met with the Picanto’s cheap-looking stereo, yet it started playing almost instantly. Much more expensive systems have let me down in the past.
