Mazda 5's New Year upgrade

18 December 2009

Mazda is to launch two new trims for its 5 MPV, which will replace TS2 and Sport trims.

The new models will be badged Takara and Furano, and will feature the same engines as the current range.

Prices will start a little higher at £17,150 for petrol models and £19,555 for the diesel and the new versions go on sale on January 1.

Cheap finance and scrappage deals
Low-rate finance packages are on offer, some available to buyers with no deposit. The cars are also available under the Government scrappage scheme which, combined with Mazda's contribution of £3000, means that cars are available from as little as £13,150.

Scrappage sale customers will also be eligible for a 6.9% APR finance deal.

Equipment and colours
The 5 is the only MPV of this size with sliding rear doors. Furano models can be specified with electrically powered doors, which can be operated remotely.

Furano models are also available in three exclusive colours, while the rest of the range is available in a choice of five colours.
