Mazda loves its concept cars. Hot on the heels of the Nagare concept shown at the LA Motor Show it has revealed this - the Ryuga.

The gullwing-doored concept car will make its first appearance at the Detroit Motor Show in January and gives another glimpse of how future Mazdas could look.

We wouldn't delay the purchase of your next car just yet, however. This pair of concepts shows what Mazdas could look like in 2020, not 2007.

Now for a quick lesson in Japanese. Nagare translates into English as 'flow', while the Ryuga development of the design means 'gracious flow'.
