Mazda is launching a Takuya special edition for its 2, 3 and 6 models.
The Mazda 2 Takuya is based on the TS2 five-door version, but includes:
• 16-inch alloy wheels
• a sports styling kit that includes a front spoiler, sports bumpers and sideskirts • front foglights
• trip computer
• leather-trimmed steering wheel and gearknob
• steering wheel-mounted audio controls
• Parrot Bluetooth hands-free kit
The car is powered by Mazda's 1.3-litre petrol engine. The Mazda 2 Takuya costs from £11,915, which is £745 more than the model it's based on.
The Mazda 3 Takuya is based on the TS version, but also includes:
• leather-trimmed steering wheel and gearknob
• dual-zone climate control
• sports seats
• integrated Bluetooth
• CD changer
• LED lights
• automatic windscreen wipers
The 3 Takuya is powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine and costs from £15,780, which is £750 more than the model it's based on.
The 6 Takuya hatchback is based on the TS versions and comes with either a 2.0-litre petrol engine or a 2.2-litre diesel. As well as the standard kit on a TS model, the 6 Takuya gets:
• 18-inch alloy wheels
• a new 'sports' grille
• automatic headlights
• alloy pedals
• half-leather heated seats
• auto-dimming rearview mirror
• dual-zone climate control
• leather-trimmed steering wheel and gearknob
The petrol version costs from £19,845, while the diesel costs from £20,945. Buyers can also choose a 6 Takuya estate, which comes with the same level of kit, the diesel engine; and costs £21,595. All versions of the 6 are £1200 more than the cars they are based on.
The cars are on sale from July 1.
