Mazda's new 2 supermini will cost from £8499 when it goes on sale in September.
The new car, which is smaller and lighter than the current model, is available from launch with either a 1.3- or 1.5-litre petrol engine. A 1.4-litre diesel will go on sale a few months later.
The 1.3 in TS trim is the entry-level car, carrying the £8499 price tag. That comes with driver and front airbags, remote central locking, a CD player and electric door mirrors.
For £9999, TS2 models have alloy wheels, side and curtain airbags, air-con, steering wheel-mounted stereo controls and folding door mirrors.
The 1.5-litre petrol comes in Sport trim and costs £11,799. That comes with a sports styling kit, larger alloy wheels, stability control, traction control, automatic headlights and windscreen wipers, four electric windows and climate control.
Prices for the diesel models in TS and TS2 trim won't be announced until the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
