Merc E63 AMG S Model offers more power

The Mercedes E63 AMG is to get a new top-of-the-range version in the form of the E63 AMG S Model.

The S Model produces 577bhp, which is 28bhp up on the standard car's 557bhp.

This boost in power results in a marginal increase in acceleration. The saloon completes the 0-62mph sprint in 4.1 seconds 0.1 seconds faster than the standard car while the estate version takes 4.2 seconds.

The S Model's average economy remains at 28.5mpg for the saloon and 28.3mpg for the estate, while CO2 emissions are also unchanged at 232g/km and 234g/km respectively.

The E63 AMG S Model gets a selection of visual enhancements, including gloss-black and silver front details, a body-coloured rear spoiler, 19-inch alloys, red brake calipers and 'S' badging on the boot.

Inside, it gets black leather seats, silver seatbelts, AMG emblems on the headrest and an electric roller blind on the saloon model.

Both the S Model and the standard E63 now get a selection of new colours, including matt grey and matt white.

The E63 AMG S Model costs from 83,740 for the saloon, while the estate version starts from 85,530. Both models are available to order from June 3, with deliveries starting in August.
