Take a look at these computer-generated images – they reveal the look of the face-lifted Mercedes ahead of its unveiling next month.
Originally, the updated BMW 5 Series rival was tipped to appear at the Geneva Motor Show this month, but the car didn't materialise.
Instead Mercedes will pull the wraps from the car next month, with sales starting very soon after.
Our expert computer artists have used spy shots and contacts within the company to create these images which are likely to give a very good idea of what the revised E-Class will look like.
Front and rear bumpers and side sills are remodelled to give the car a slightly more sculpted look, while new oval door mirrors also smaller and sleeker in appearance.
Front fog lights are more distinct, while the headlights and rear light clusters are brought up to date with more contemporary-looking lens covers.
An all-new Mercedes should hit UK showrooms in either 2008 or 2009.
