The Mercedes G-Class 4x4 is set to return to the UK this autumn after a 10-year absence.
Prices for the off-roader start at £79,975 for the G350 CDI diesel version. It produces 218bhp, returns 25.7mpg on average and emits 291g/km, while 0-62mph takes just 8.8sec and top speed is 110mph.
Alternatively, you could opt for the £114,975 G55 AMG, which delivers 493bhp, sprints from 0-62mph in 5.5sec and has a top speed of 130mph. Fuel consumption is 15.9mpg on average and emissions are 378g/km.
Each will come with climate control, an automatic gearbox with high- and low-ratio gears for off-road travel, a leather-clad cabin and seats (heated and electrically adjustable with memory function) and a Harmon Kardon Logic 7 sound system.
Hand-built by Austrians
The G-Class is hand-built at the Mercedes plant in Graz and will be available only through the Specialist Products Division at Mercedes Benz World in Brooklands, Surrey.
