The revised Mitsubishi Lancer range will cost from £12,499 when it goes on sale in February.

You can have a 138bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine, or a choice of 108bhp 1.5-litre or 142bhp 1.8-litre petrol units.

Four trims will be available - GS1, GS2, GS3 and GS4 - as well as the Lancer Evo X performance car.

Standard equipment on all models includes driver, passenger, side and knee airbags, as well as a rear spoiler, electric windows, air-conditioning, an alarm system with immobiliser, and a stereo with MP3 capability.

The Evo X goes on sale in March priced from £27,499, and the hatchback Lancer will be available from September.
