The motor industry's codes of practice operator, Motor Codes, has revealed the winners of its annual Garage of the Year contest for 2012.
The winner of the big-business category was Reynolds of Selby, North Yorkshire, while the small-business category win went to ABP Motorsport in Shavington, Chesire.
Thousands of UK motorists voted in the nationwide contest, with the overall winners selected from 20 regional finalists.
A judging panel consisting of Emma Butcher, consumer editor at What Car?, Peter Lawton, editor of CAT magazine and John Jackson of sponsor Havoline made the final call.
Each garage was also independently assessed by the RAC.
Chris Meredith, owner at ABP, said: 'We treat each and every customer as a mystery shopper, making sure that everybody who comes through the door experiences the sort of service that we’d expect to receive ourselves.'
Stephen Reynolds of Reynolds of Selby added: 'We're so pleased to be named Garage of the Year because it shows recognition from the community and reflects the long-standing relationships that we enjoy with many of our customers.'
Visit www.motorcodes.co.uk for information on the regional winners as well more than 6800 subscribing garages, each with a profile page and customer ratings.
