Motor Show Q&A Special - How to I get there?

20 July 2006
I'm sold. How do I get there?
It might be a car show, but it's at the ExCel centre in London's Docklands, so the easiest way to get there is by public transport.

Jump on a train and head for London. Then jump on the tube (Jubilee line to Canning Town) and get yourself onto the Docklands Light Railway for ExCel's dedicated Custom House Stop.

Docklands? On the river then?
Yup, so you can catch a Thames Clippers from Central London and bob along the river to the show. Click here for more information.

And an airport?
London City Airport is a five-minute taxi ride from the show if you want to get fancy. Click here

Any other methods?
National Express coaches is running special services direct to The British International Motor Show at ExCeL London from most UK towns and cities on Friday 21st and 28th July, Saturday 22nd and 29th July, and Sunday 23rd and 30th July.

But I must drive!
Fine. ExCel is around a 10-minute drive from Tower Bridge and a 25-minute journey from Junction 30 on the M25. The venue is also easily reached from Central London via the Limehouse Link and via the M25, A13, M11, A406 (North Circular), the Blackwall Tunnel and Rotherhithe Tunnel from other parts of the country.

Parking on site is by way of Park and Ride. We have approximately 11,000 satellite spaces where you can leave your car for only £5 and be transported directly to the venue. There are also disabled parking facilities near the show.
