Multi-group child seats tested - Maxi-Cosi Rodi SPS

09 February 2009
Maxi-Cosi Rodi SPS
RRP: £49.99
Groups: 2/3 (from 15 to 36kg)

Features
The Rodi has armrests and, like all group 2/3 seats, a good range of adjustment for the head section. This provides excellent support for the child's head and is also well padded. There are no cupholders.

Ease of operation
It's easy to locate the seatbelt in the guide, even with the head section in the lowest position. The head section also adjusts very smoothly, and Maxi-Cosi provide good clear operating instructions, both with the seat and online.

Buying
Another seat for less than £50. Search for the model online and you'll find that the savings aren't as big as those for other seats.

Quality
Nice fabrics, robust-feeling plastic and a precise, smooth action from all moving parts make this feel like a quality seat.
