Mothers are better drivers than fathers, according to a survey of children.

The poll by Hyundai revealed that the majority of the 1000 children questioned felt their fathers were too aggressive, drove too fast and lost their tempers quickly when in the driving seat.

However, the majority felt that their mothers managed to appear happy throughout entire journeys.

In total, 80% of the children said they preferred to have their mothers behind the wheel.
