Vauxhall has confirmed that it will launch an Astra-based convertible in 2013.
Few details have been revealed at this stage, but the car will be built at the company's Gliwice factory in Poland.
It is expected that the new convertible won't have a folding metal roof like the current Astra Twintop, but it will revert to a fabric roof like that on the original model and the new Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet
