Audi's revamped A8 will cost between £49,995 and £80,995 when it goes on sale later this month.
Buyers will have the choice of the lowest emission engine in the luxury car class, as Audi has supplemented the existing engine range with the 2.8-litre petrol V6 that was introduced on the Audi A6 earlier this year.
The engine produces 199g/km of carbon dioxide. It offers 210bhp and accelerates from 0-62mph in 8.0 seconds, with a top speed of 148mph. Fuel consumption is an average of 34mpg.
The car has undergone a modest restyling, with the majority of tweaks concentrating on improving the steering, ensuring the air suspension offers a more comfortable ride and sound-proofing the cabin.
Optional extras now include Audi's lane departure and blind spot warning systems.
