Vauxhall has confirmed that the all-new Corsa will make its world debut at the British Motor Show in London this July.
Both three- and five-door versions of the new supermini will be unveiled, with sales in the UK kicking off in the autumn.
Like the Astra, the three-door Corsa will have coupe-like styling in a bid to differentiate it from the five-door car and appeal to younger buyers.
Hot VXR versions, which will develop close to 200bhp, are expected to go on sale in mid-2007 for around £14,000.
Other likely world debuts for the London show include the next-generation Land Rover Freelander and a hot Honda Civic Type-RR, which could have as much as 250bhp.
Tickets for the show cost £8 for any weekday, or £12 for weekend tickets. First-day tickets cost £30 each. For more details, call 0870 060 0245 or visit the website www.britishmotorshow.co.uk. The show runs from 20-30 July.
