New engines for BMW 3 Series

The 2013 BMW 3 Series Touring will get four new engines, and four-wheel-drive variants for the first time in the UK, BMW has revealed.
The 320d Efficient Dynamics Touring heads the new models. As with the existing saloon version, it gets a range of features to improve fuel efficiency and CO2 emissions, and has a 161bhp four-cylinder diesel that's available with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic gearbox. Both versions average 65.7mpg and emit 112g/km of CO2. It goes on sale in March and manual versions cost £29,710.
BMW has also added 325d models to the 3 Series saloon and Touring ranges. This 215bhp four-cylinder variant produces 332 lb ft of torque and, in Touring form, averages 55.4mpg. The 325d Touring costs £31,630.
A new petrol engine gives the 3 Series Touring range a new entry-level model. The 316i Touring costs £26,495 and has a 134bhp 1.6-litre petrol engine. Average fuel economy is 45.6mpg. 
BMW has also added a sporty 335i Touring to the line-up. It's powered by a turbocharged six-cylinder petrol engine that develops 302bhp and can accelerate from 0-62mph in just 5.5 seconds. The BMW 335i Touring costs £37,170.
As well as the new engines, the BMW 3 Series Touring will also be available with 'xDrive' four-wheel drive for the first time in the UK.
The petrol-powered 320i xDrive saloon is already on sale; in March BMW will introduce a Touring version, and add new 320d xDrive and 330d xDrive diesel models to the saloon and Touring ranges.
