Hot hatch fans have two new Fiat 500 Abarth models to choose from. The new Abarth 595 Turismo and Abarth 595 Turismo join the standard Fiat 500 Abarth, which remains on sale.

Both new models have a turbocharged 160bhp 1.4 T-Jet petrol engine; the same engine that comes as part of the Essesse upgrade pack that continues to be offered for the 135bhp standard car.

A six-speed manual gearbox as standard. Alfa 's Manual Transmission Automated (MTA) semi-auto gearbox is an option.

As well as the engine upgrade, the new models come with a range of extra kit.

The Abarth 595 Turismo comes with tinted rear windows, leather upholstery, climate control, upgraded suspension, xenon headlights and 17-inch alloy wheels.


New Fiat Abarth 500

It also gets red brake calipers, metal pedals, footrests and door kick-plate trims, aluminium fuel and oil filler caps and Titanium Grey front and rear grilles. It's available in a choice of 10 exterior paint colours.


Abarth 595 Turismo

Range-topping Abarth 595 Competizione models add cross-drilled disc brakes, a Monza exhaust upgrade and sports seats.

Prices for the standard 500 Abarth are £492 lower; the Essesse dealer upgrade kit - which also includes special alloy wheels - costs £2270 (excluding labour).

All Fiat 500 Abarth models are available in convertible 500C form.
