New Ford Ka revealed - The design

08 September 2008
The new Ka adopts the 'kinetic' design language that's now been spread out across the entire Ford line-up while retaining one or two of the features that worked so well on the original model, such as the squared-off area around the rear window.

Its footprint on the road is the same as the current model's, but because the occupants sit higher in a taller body, interior space is said to be better.

Once again, there's no pretence the car is anything other than a four-seater: there's an equally-split rear backrest with only two headrests, and there are only two seatbelts.
