New Jaguar XJ revealed - New engines

09 July 2009
Power will come from a mixture of the company's 3.0-litre V6 diesel and 5.0-litre V8 petrol engines, all driving through a six-speed ZF automatic gearbox. The diesel is the 272bhp 'S' unit introduced on the revised XF a few months ago.

Jag claims this model will have lower CO2 emissions than any rival. The V8s are the 381bhp normally-aspirated and 505bhp supercharged engines from the XF and XK, but there's also a new 465bhp supercharged option.
