The all-new Mazda 6 will have a coupe version in its line-up, a senior source has revealed to What Car?
A hatchback and saloon version of the new 6 – previewed by the Takeri concept car at the Tokyo motor show last week – goes on sale in January 2013, and will be closely followed by an estate. However the four-seat Coupe version is expected at least a year afterwards.
Like the rest of the range, the Coupe will be built using the company’s new SkyActiv technologies, and be powered by frugal 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel engines.
It will also boost economy through stop-start systems and a new regenerative braking system dubbed i-Eloop, which claims to save a further 10% on fuel.
Our reviews are based on hard data and thorough testing in the real world.
