An all-new Mercedes C-Class is on the way next year - and we've got a sneak preview of how the cars are likely to look.
Our expert computer artists have drawn up these images of the forthcoming saloon and estate range.
Based on hints from company insiders, and the look of other new models from Mercedes, our gallery of images should give a good idea of what the new BMW 3 Series rival will look like (just click on the 'More pictures' link on the right).
Perhaps the most recognisable features of the cars are the sharp body-length creases, known as swage lines, and large headlight design.
We've already seen these design elements on existing models such as the A- and B-Class and CLS coupe.
The next CLK coupe and cabriolet will be based on the same platform as the new C-Class, but are further off in the future, with an arrival date of around 2008. Even so, take a look in our gallery and you'll see how the two-door car could shape up.
Our reviews are based on hard data and thorough testing in the real world.
