This is the Mercedes SL63 AMG, a range-topping version of the new SL roadster that goes on sale in late summer.
The SL63 AMG comes with 530bhp in standard form, but adding the £10,000 (approx) AMG Performance Pack boosts output to 556bhp.
Power is provided by a 5.5-litre twin-turbocharged ‘Biturbo’ V8 engine that propels the SL63 AMG from 0-62mph in 4.2 seconds with the Performance Pack or 4.3 seconds without.
There's a seven-speed automatic sports gearbox, while the car also gets a speed-sensitive sports steering rack and AMG sports suspension with Active Body Control and comfort and sport settings.
The new SL63 AMG weighs 125kg less than the previous model, thanks, in part, to an aluminium bodyshell.
AMG's makeover also includes 19-inch alloys, performance brakes, and bespoke front and rear bumpers.
Full specification is yet to be confirmed, but options include Mercedes' Magic Sky glass roof, which can switch from opaque to transparent at the touch of a button.
Prices should be confirmed at the Geneva motor show, and are expected to increase slightly on the current car’ £106,820.
