More details have come to light about the new Outlander, a compact 4x4 from Mitsubishi.
The new car goes on sale on March 1, and will be powered by a 138bhp 2.0-litre turbodiesel. A 154bhp 2.2-litre turbodiesel and an all-new 168bhp 2.4-litre petrol will come towards the end of the year.
There are three trim levels available - Equippe is the entry-level trim and has air-conditioning, six-speaker CD/MP3 player, stability and traction control, and electric windows and doors. Equippe models start from £19,449.
Warrior trim costs from £21,999 and adds 18-inch alloy wheels, those 'Hide & Seat' folding third row of seats, curtain airbags, body kit, cruise control, Bluetooth hands-free telephone kit and a leather-covered steering wheel.
Elegance models have heated leather seats, a sunroof, satellite navigation system, a 30-gigabyte music server, DVD player, and a nine-speaker 650W sound system. Elegance trim costs £24,749.
