Volvo will unveil new, sportier R Design versions of its S60 saloon and V60 estate at the Paris Motor Show at the end of the month.
Available with every engine from the two ranges, from the 161bhp D3 diesel to the 300bhp T6 petrol, R Design changes both the looks and the dynamics of the Volvos.
A stiffened body, faster-reacting dampers and stiffer springs aim to make the car more responsive and fun to drive.
More aggressive bodywork, unique 18-inch wheels and rear diffuser mark the car apart from the outside, while in the cabin buyers will get a special steering wheel, gear lever, sports pedals and floor mats. There's a choice of black and white interior or an all-black option with contrasting stitching.
R Design will cost slightly more than SE versions of the car which suggests a starting price of about £26,000 for an D3 S60. Cars are available to order now, although first deliveries aren't expected until the end of the year or early in 2011.
