The new Skoda Rapid will cost from £12,900 when it goes on sale in November.
The Rapid gets the car maker's new family face, incorporating the revised badge, a more defined bonnet crease and chrome surrounds on the large grille.
Engine options are two petrols – a 1.2 unit with 74bhp, 85bhp or 104bhp – a 120bhp 1.4, and a 104bhp diesel. These are mated to a five- or six-speed manual gearbox, or a seven-speed DSG auto.
All models get remote central locking, curtain airbags, daytime running lights, rake/reach-adjustable steering wheel, a height-adjustable driver’s seat and electric front windows.
SE trim adds 15-inch alloys, body-coloured door mirrors and handles, air-conditioning, Bluetooth connectivity, and a leather-trimmed steering wheel.
Range-topping Elegance models gain 16-inch alloys, cornering front foglamps, cruise control, height-adjustable passenger seat, rear electric windows, chrome interior detailing and a four-spoke multi-functional steering wheel.
Prices start from £12,900 for the Rapid 1.2-litre in entry level S trim, rising to £17,850 for the range-topping Rapid 1.6 TDI CR 104bhp in Elegance trim.
