Suzuki will show the production version of an all-new crossover at next month's Geneva motor show.
The new model is based on the S-Cross concept car revealed at last year's the Paris motor show, and will be a rival to cars such as the Ford Kuga, Nissan Qashqai and Volkswagen Tiguan.
It will come with two- and four-wheel drive options, and offer CO2 emissions that are among the lowest in the class. This is thanks in part to a 1.6-litre Fiat diesel engine.
Suzuki says the car will also have class-leading load space, with a capacity of more than 500 litres.
The car's final name and more information on details such as efficiency figures will be revealed when it makes its debut at the Geneva show. UK pricing will be revealed closer to its launch in this country, which will be in late autumn.
