What Car? has launched the UK's first free car valuation app, which brings What Car?’s 39 years of independent expertise to car buyers and sellers on the move.
The app, which has been developed by Grapple Mobile, will be available on iPhone, Android, Nokia and Windows phones.
What Car? valuation app features
The app has a used-car valuation feature that allows users to enter the make, model, bodystyle, version, year and mileage of the car they're looking at. The app breaks down valuations by dealer price, private price, part-exchange, and trade price.
The new-car valuation feature lists the accurate list price for each model, and the What Car? Target Price, which shows an achievable discount on that car.
For Android, iPhone and Windows phones, there's also a 'view similarly priced cars' feature, which is operated simply by turning the headset from portrait to landscape.
What Car? valuation app is available for iPhone, Android, Nokia and Windows phones.
Users can also access What Car?'s independent expert advice – the app gives the What Car? star rating for each model, as well as our latest reliability ratings.
For searched models, users can find the nearest dealer, based on their current location using GPS, or by entering a postcode. There's also a 'My Garage' function, which allows users to save a car, for quick and easy viewing at a later date.
What Car? editor-in-chief Chas Hallett said: 'The What Car? app will be invaluable to anyone looking to buy or sell a car because it gives unparalleled access to the most comprehensive and reliable data in the marketplace. Wherever or whenever, it will give consumers the confidence that the deal they are making is the right one. The What Car? app will be vital in the car-buying process.'
