The new Hyundai Santa Fe and the official title for Jaguar’s new sports car will be among the highlights of this week’s New York motor show.
Whatcar.com will have full coverage of the launch of the new Santa Fe, which is due on sale in the UK in the autumn. It will be powered by a more efficient version of Hyundai’ 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine, and is likely to continue to offer a seven-seat option.
Jaguar is likely to reveal the name of the production version of its C-X16 concept car in New York. It’s tipped to be launched as a convertible - although that car won’t appear at the US show.
Other show debuts will include a face-lifted BMW X1, the new Mercedes-Benz GL and a new Dodge Viper. BMW will also show the M6 convertible.
The New York show has moved this year, creating some space in the schedule between it and the ever-growing Chinese showcase (in Beijing this year, in the third week of April).
The New York event opens tomorrow, so whatcar.com will have updates throughout the day as the covers come off the new models.
Our reviews are based on hard data and thorough testing in the real world.
