Nissan has revealed the Nismo Juke Concept, which the car maker says showcases the future of the company's performance arm.

Speaking ahead of this week's Tokyo motor show, Nismo's boss also revealed that more hot versions of Nissans are planned.

The Nismo Juke Concept features an uprated version of the standard car's 1.6-litre engine – although it hasn't revealed an exact power output – and a stiffened chassis.

The Tokyo show car is in Nismo's pearl white with red highlights and comes with a Nismo bodykit, which includes lower bumpers and sideskirts. The grille has been revised, as has the tailgate spoiler and door mirrors to improve aerodynamics.

Nismo president Shoichi Miyatani said: 'The future of Nismo is developing premium sports designs for an ever-widening range of customers.

'Our forthcoming range of cars will be just as accessible and innovative as every Nissan, but with added Nismo energy. They will be ever-more fun to own and drive.'
