GT-R Proto Concept

Nissan's new GT-R performance car is slowly taking shape with this new GT-R Proto
concept, which goes on view at this month’s Tokyo Motor Show.

Nissan says the prototype is 'a clear indication of the final design', although at this
stage it has only released sketches of the car, which is due to go on sale in 2007.

Nissan will have four other concepts at the show. Details of the Pivo, with its rotating
egg-shaped cabin, were published on whatcar.com on Monday but it's unlikely to
ever be built, while the Moco Preview will almost certainly never be sold in Europe.

The pretty Foria four-door looks like a near-finished product, although there are no
plans to put it into production just yet.

The six-seater Amenio is a pointer for future large MPVs which Nissan currently
lacks in the UK. Again, however, there's no word on when it might be built or if
it would become part of the UK range.
