This is the Nissan Juke Nismo, the first of a range of Nismo production models planned by Nissan.
The Juke Nismo is powered by a 197bhp 1.6-litre turbo petrol engine, and will be available in either two- or four-wheel drive.
Manual two-wheel-drive cars manage the 0-62mph sprint in 7.8 seconds, while four-wheel-drive versions, which get an automatic CVT gearbox as standard, complete it in 8.2 seconds.
Nissan says the Juke's CO2 emissions and fuel economy are unaffected.
Each Nismo model is designed and tuned by Nissan’s motorsport division in Japan. The Juke Nismo gets a retuned chassis, 10% stiffer springs and revised dampers and steering.
The new Juke Nismo gets lower front and rear bumpers, wider wings and sideskirts. There’s also a modified grille, spoiler and new 18-inch alloys.
Nissan has fitted red-stitched Nismo sports seats, an Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel, and redesigned the pedals, gauges, gearknob and door trims to give a sportier feel.

Standard kit is generous, too. Nissan’s Connect touch-screen sat-nav, rear-view camera and Bluetooth connectivity are included.
The Juke Nismo will be built in Sunderland alongside the current Juke family, and UK sales are due to start early in 2013.
Final prices and specifications are yet to be announced.
