Production of the McLaren MP4-12C supercar will not be delayed, despite one of the car's component suppliers filing for bankruptcy.
The company, A123 Systems, made lithium starter batteries for the MP4-12C. However, the US firm filed for bankruptcy protection in October, and reports suggest it could be sold to a Chinese car components firm.

'We currently hold stock for the foreseeable future,' said a spokesman, 'so there will not be any impact on production.'
