  • Prices start at £8895
  • Three petrol and three diesel models available
  • Vehicles available in four trim levels

New Clio will cost from £8895

Renault's all-new Clio is available to order from Thursday 18 August, with prices starting at £8895.

First deliveries of the three-door cars won't be until October, while those ordering five-door models will have to wait until January 2006.

Three petrol and three diesel models will be available, and four trim levels. Top of the range is the 1.5-litre diesel Dynamique S at £12,650. Five-door models are likely to carry a premium of £600 over three-door cars.

Extreme £8895 to £9795
Extreme models do without air-conditioning, but are fitted with front and side airbags, CD player with steering wheel-mounted controls, electric windows, alloy wheels, a height-adjustable steering wheel and a CD player. Engine choice is limited to the 74bhp 1.2-litre petrol or 67bhp 1.5-litre diesel.

Expression £9450 to £11,550
Expression cars don’t have alloy wheels but gain air-conditioning, curtain airbags, a split-folding rear seat, height-adjustable driver's seat and electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors. Available with all engines bar the most powerful 105bhp diesel.

Dynamique £10,250 to £12,350
Dynamique cars are £300 more than equivalent Expression models. They drop air-conditioning as a standard item on all but the 105bhp diesel (it's a £500 option on the rest). They wear a sportier look which includes alloy wheels, different upholstery and cabin trim including brushed aluminium, and body-coloured door mirrors. Not available with the entry-level petrol or diesel engines.

Dynamique S £10,550 to £12,650
Air-conditioning is still a £500 option unless you're going for the 105bhp diesel. Alloy wheels grow to 16-inchers while the front bumper is also larger. Entry-level petrol and diesel engines are again not available.
