I love the S-Max’s clever seats – they’re as flexible as a troop of Chinese State Circus acrobats. Fold them away and they leave a truly enormous amount of space. I was able to slide in two huge bags of garden rubbish – the sort of bags that you get a tonne of soil delivered in – with no problem at all.

There are loads of configurations and positions, they’re very comfortable and they fold perfectly flat. That’s why the Ford has also proved to be great for our video guys to take tracking shots of other cars for our video reviews.
