Our cars: Jaguar XJ 3.0D V6 - February

Jaguar XJ 3.0D V6 Portfolio
Mileage 19,300
Six months into my tenure of a Jaguar XJ and I’m really starting to appreciate some of its optional extras. The heated seats and steering wheel were my first line of defence when winter kicked in, but the Jag’s snow settings proved even more useful on one particular white-out journey.

A prod of a button next to the gear selector softened throttle responses and gearchanges, and helped the car get me home safely.

Another godsend is the electric boot opening. Remotely pressing a button to open or close a boot lid covered in salt and slime is a boon.
