Jaguar XJ 3.0D V6 Portfolio
Mileage 10,000
The XJ was just the job when road tester Steve Huntingford needed to play chauffeur at a friend’s wedding in Lincolnshire. Steve was impressed with its smooth engine, rock-solid motorway stability and agile back-road handling on the long drive up from London. Then, later in the day, its imposing looks and classy, leather-lined cabin helped the bride feel suitably special.
Only the Jag’s sound system threatened to sour the relationship between car and driver – it refused to play a couple of Steve’s CDs on the journey home and he found the touch-screen controls fiddly and distracting.
