An unusual failure to report this month: an odd knocking noise from the offside front has turned out to be a faulty shock absorber. My local dealer replaced the offending item under warranty, but the root cause of the problem remains a mystery. As yet, there’s no sign of the fault occurring on the nearside shock absorber.
