We love the electric sliding doors on our Alhambra, because they make getting access to the back seats with armfuls of camera kit a breeze.

One tug on the interior handle is enough to set everything in motion, but although we are used to letting the electronics do their thing, some of our passengers have struggled with the concept.

A few have tried to force the door shut, inadvertently pulling the handle twice, which makes the mechanics come to a halt. We’ve found ourselves explaining the concept on more than one occasion as a result.

Once acquainted and over this initial blip though, no one has found fault with the system.
